About

An independent NZ mortgage broker directory

We don't write mortgages. We don't share commissions with the brokers we list. We just point borrowers at the people most likely to do well by them.

Why this exists

Walking into your bank for a mortgage is structurally bad advice — the bank can only sell you its own product, even if a better deal is sitting at one of the other banks. NZ has a robust independent mortgage broker market, but borrowers don't always know which broker is right for their situation. This directory is an attempt to point people in the right direction.

How we pick listings

The bar to be listed: FSPR-registered (NZ Financial Service Providers Register), operating under a licensed FAP, working in NZ residential mortgage broking, and in good standing with the Mortgage and Finance Association of NZ (MFANZ) where membership applies. We rotate listings as the scene changes.

How (and whether) we make money

Right now: we don't. The directory is independently run from Aotearoa. Eventually, if it earns its keep, we'll either run light affiliate fees (clearly disclosed), accept paid premium listings (clearly tagged), or run a small subscription product for brokers who want recommended-by-default leads. None of those are live yet, and none of them will ever change which broker we point you at — paid placement will always be tagged as such.

Important caveat

We don't provide financial advice. The information on this site is general — current rate snapshots, broker profiles, and educational guides. For advice tailored to your situation, talk to one of the FSPR-registered advisers we link to. Their advice is regulated; ours isn't.
