Privacy
Calculator inputs never leave your browser
Every calculator on this site runs client-side. The income, balances, rates and savings you type are held in your browser’s memory for as long as the page is open, and are not transmitted to us, stored on a server, written to a cookie or logged. Close the tab and they are gone.
You can verify this: load a calculator, disconnect from the network, and it keeps working.
What is collected
Standard web server request data, which our hosting provider records in order to serve the site: the page requested, timestamp, referring page, approximate region, and browser and device type. This is aggregate traffic information and we do not use it to identify individuals.
We use Google Search Console, which reports the search queries that led to this site in aggregate. It does not tell us who searched.
What we do not do
- No accounts, so nothing to sign up for and no password to store.
- No enquiry forms, so we hold no names, phone numbers or email addresses.
- No advertising networks and no advertising cookies.
- No selling, renting or sharing of personal information, because we do not collect any.
Your rights
The Privacy Act 2020 gives you the right to ask what personal information an organisation holds about you and to have it corrected. In our case the answer is that we hold none. If you believe otherwise, ask us and we will check.
If you are not satisfied with how we handle a privacy question you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
Changes
If we ever add a form or analytics that collects more than the above, this page will be updated before it goes live, and the change noted on disclosure.
